CAMPAIGN WYHALEW
2004
Wyhalew is a village lying between Parczew and Włodawa. There used to be a state farm there which gave jobs to many people and today it is a place of high unemployment. It takes about 90 km to go there from Lublin. We went there for the first time. We hope a fellowship of believers will be started there. Our concert was combined with the distribution of Christmas gifts within the campaign of "A Christmas Surprise", which was coordinated in Wyhalew by Jan Bloch, the leader of the fellowship from Parczew. It was awesome to see a crowd of people that gathered in a small hall to listen to the Gospel. Our missionary team included more than 20 people from Lublin. There were also many believers from Parczew. The artistic programme consisted of worship songs and Christian songs for children. There were also dramas, pantomimes, choreography and dancing with banners. Kasia, Andrzej and Sylwia were saying testimonies of God's work in their lives. The children and their parents were really impressed by the whole evangelism. After the word preached by Michael many prayed for salvation in Jesus. After the prayer we distributed the parcels and books for children, whereas the adults received evangelistic books. Many people, especially young ones, were willing to talk to us after the concert and they wanted to come to Lublin. The elders, or mainly parents, were thanking us for the whole concert and they invited us to come again. The news about this concert spread as far as to neighbouring villages. Somebody said that they had not had such a concert since the last war, or for over 50 years. We are praying for a spiritual revival in that place.
