MILEJÓW
2004
A week after our visit to Włodawa we went to Milejów. It is a town about 30 km away from Lublin. The name "Milejów" has been known in Poland for many years due to the fruit production works and popular juices from Milejów. There is no evangelical church there yet. The concert that we organized there for the first time took place in a local cultural centre. It has a hall with almost 200 seats. This time our team consisted of 23 people from Lublin. We needed as many as four cars to be able to take everybody and everything. The music band consisted of Tymoteusz - the drummer, Adrian - the bass player, Janusz - the saxophone, Łukasz - the guitar and Sławek - percussion. The singers were: Gosia, Sylwia, Emilia, Daniela, Kamila, Ania and Łukasz, who was leading the whole band. Rafał was responsible for the sound system, Peter operated the lights and took photos, whereas Andrzej and Ewa were filming the concert with cameras. We also had a choreography and banner team with Gosia, Beata, Ania, Sylwia, Emilia, Ania and Jola.
At the beginning of the concert it seemed that there were still a lot of empty seats in the hall, but as it was going on, more and more people started to come. By the end of the evangelism we also prayed with those who wanted to invite Lord Jesus to their lives. After the concert we distributed many New Testaments and evangelistic tracts. We are praying to be able to organize evangelism there again and for a church to be planted there.
