CAMPAIGN
KOCK 2004

On Sunday, 18th December, at 7 a.m. we gathered together with a group of young people from Lublin and neighbouring towns in order to set off for a Christmas evangelistic concert in Międzyrzec Podlaski. We needed 4 cars for about 20 people, some of whom – despite a sleepless night – came punctually, ready for the trip. However, in Międzyrzec we had an unpleased surprise. Although the concert, after which we were going to distribute Christmas parcels for children, was planned a long time ago, there were some problems. Near the cinema we had rented for that purpose they had works in the ground which caused the electricity to be cut off. We were forced to cancel the concert but we didn’t want to give up organising evangelism that day. Since it was too late to find a vacant hall in other town we decided to stop in Kock, which lies between Międzyrzec and Lublin. We put the equipment in a main square and we were able to present a short version of the program. God blessed us. We gathered many people around us. Many of them stayed until the end of our concert, which consisted of Christmas carols, worship songs, pantomimes, dance and short testimonies. Ronald Gabrielsen a missionary from Denmark was preaching and his wife Katarzynyna Gabrielsen was translating in to Polish. At the end we gave people new Testaments, books for children and evangelistic leaflets. We had very interesting conversations with many people, mostly young. We were also praying together with a young girl who was moved by our performance. Other nice situation was that we were given electricity from on of the nearby shops. We thank God for the possibility of preaching the Gospel in this town and we believe that it was the answer for our prayers. We were praying for Kock every time we were driving through it. We believe that in the future we will organise bigger concert there.
