CAMPAIGN BYCHAWA
2004
God opened the door for us to another town in the region
of Lublin, which is Bychawa. It is a place situated about 30 kilometres from
Lublin. There is a Town Youth Council there and they organise various
cultural events for young people. A few years ago, when Michal worked in a
company as a sales representative and had to drive through various places,
he prayed for a possibility to organise evangelism there so that people
could hear the good news about Christ. Bychawa was one of those places. God
answered the prayers. The Youth Council asked our friend, Grzegorz Golos,
who is the chairman of the charity association called ‘VERUM’ to
organise concerts in Bychawa. Grzegorz suggested that we should have an
evangelistic concert there. Of course we agreed. Although we do not have a
music band of euromission Poland yet, we know that we can count on the youth
group from our ‘Oasis’ church. They are willing to join missionary
campaigns. of those places. God answered the prayers. The Youth Council
asked our friend, Grzegorz Golos, who is the chairman of the charity
association called ‘VERUM’ to organise concerts in Bychawa. Grzegorz On
6th and 7th March we had two evening evangelistic concerts in Bychawa. On
the first day the town mayor himself honoured us with his presence. A lot of
people came, which was a surprise for the Youth Council. At such concerts
songs are usually mixed with dramas, choreography and testimonies. Of course
at the end we had evangelistic preaching – on the first night it was given
by Ronald Gabrielsen from euromission from Norway and on the second night by
Michal Siczek. Many also prayed with a prayer of receiving Jesus into their
hearts. After the concerts we talked to many people who were impressed by
the whole event. We were also able to hold deep conversations about faith in
God with young people. You could see that they were forced to confront their
life with the message of the Gospel and they asked us many questions. We
remember a certain situation when someone from our team talked to a young
person who was so happy afterwards and said, ‘You have saved my life’.
We are glad that we could encourage many people to seek God and the truth.
Now we go to Bychawa once a week and meet hose people. We pray for strong
fellowship of believers to come into existence there.
